For the firm
Help
Eight questions a driveway firm asks before the first priced drive.
What does the firm pay?
Free quotes stay on your phone or tablet. You get 2 customer links each London calendar month. Plus is £14.99 a month including VAT and adds 15 links for that month. Unused links stay in that month. You start Plus from Company when you want it. These figures are the firm plan, not a price for a customer's drive.
How does VAT work?
You confirm 20%, 5%, 0%, or that the firm is not registered. Occupancy is a note on the job and never selects the rate. The total shows VAT once the scope is complete and you have confirmed the treatment. The paper is an estimate. A VAT invoice is issued from your own books.
What about SuDS and the 5 m² rule?
In England, a new or replacement front-garden hard surface over 5 m² needs to be permeable, or to drain to a lawn, border or soakaway inside the boundary, or you typically need planning permission (Class F). Exactly 5.00 m² does not trip that test, because the rule is for an area that exceeds 5 m². Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland use different wording. The desk shows a caution on the working quote. That caution is for you. It does not apply for permission, and it is not SuDS approval.
Who allows a dropped kerb?
A dropped kerb is highways consent from the council, separate from this paving price. The quote can record the warning so the gang sees it. The council quotes any fee and decides the consent. The estimate records your paving work.
What does the customer see?
The sheet, the PDF and the share link use your trading name, logo, phone, email and VAT number. They show the priced lines, the terms, a valid-until date, and a place to accept with a typed name. Internal notes, the diary and this product name stay off that paper. You copy the link and send it yourself.
What works offline?
Drafts, rates and the company card already on the phone stay there when the signal drops. You can keep typing a quote. Photos stay on the device. A signed-in company copy updates when the phone is online again. The newer copy wins.
How do team codes work?
The owner makes a code on Company. Office and crew type that code to join the same book. The owner chooses the role. The app keeps the code on Company for you to pass on. It does not post the code anywhere else.
How do we get support?
Write to support@drivewaysim.com from the firm email on your Company page. Use it for the account, the desk and privacy. Send the customer their estimate yourself. For a dropped kerb or planning, write to the council.
